All our properties are situated on Portugal's Silver Coast, Costa de Prata, and are a short distance from the medieval walled township of Obidos and the larger spa town of Caldas da Rainha. The region boasts a quite extraordinary concentration of history, fascinating towns and beautiful museums. It has largely remained undiscovered and therefore retains much of the flavour of traditional Portugal.

It has largely remained undiscovered and therefore retains much of the flavour of traditional Portugal. Along the Silver Coast are many fine and unspoiled beaches, which are no mean alternative to the Algarve, in particular Foz do Arelho, situated at the mouth of the Obidos Lagoon.
Travelling north along the rugged coastal road you will find the resort of São Martinho do Porto nestling in a narrow, sheltered bay. Twelve kilometres further north is the picturesque fishing town of Nazaré. To the south of Foz do Arelho is the busy peninsula fishing town of Peniche dominated by a 16th century castle. From here it is possible to visit the Berlengas islands which are ten kilometres off shore and have been declared a National Bird Sanctuary.
